Job Description

The Front Office Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the front desk. The Front Office Manager must ensure the front office team delivers great service, professional attention and personal recognition.   • Ensure guests are greeted upon arrival and make time to engage with guests. Respond appropriately to guest interactions, solicit feedback and build relationships to drive continuous improvement in guest satisfaction
  • Receive guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction
  • Conduct routine inspections of the front office and public areas and take immediate actions to correct any deficiencies
  • Manage day-to-day staffing needs, including recruiting, hiring, training and developing team members, making sure they have the tools, knowledge and confidence to carry out job duties
  • Perform a variety of HR functions including payroll and employee discipline and maintain accurate and updated personnel files
  • Ensure inventories are managed in such a way to ensure room occupancy and daily rate objectives are met
  • Maintain cash bank per accounting guidelines. Oversee procedures for receipt, control and accounting for all guest payments and transactions
  • Assist in accounting functions and preparation of daily financial reports. Help prepare and monitor annual departmental operating budget and control labor costs and expenses
  • Oversee procedures for the security of monies, guest belongings and baggage
  • Follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any health and safety incidents, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the GM or proper authorities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

  • Able to lift, carry, pull and push items up to 25 pounds Able to hear and speak to employees and guest in person and/or by phone Able to bend, stoop, climb, stretch to reach, push, stand for long periods of time, sit, kneel and twist Able to see and read on computer screen and paper Able to use hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
