Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) 6+ years of professional experience in interior design or architecture with a strong focus on hospitality projects Experience with FF&E specification, sourcing, pricing, and lifecycle considerations Experience developing and managing Hotel Property Improvement Plans (PIPs), including cost estimates and budget interpretation Strong design specification knowledge and ability to assess submissions against established brand standards Excellent communication skills, including presenting to executive and non-design stakeholders Ability to provide technical guidance and influence design standard and compliance decisions Working knowledge of hospitality design trends, brand standards, and industry best practices Plusses Experience in a people-management role NCIDQ Cert Overview Insight Global is seeking a Design Brand Manager to support a large hospitality organization by leading brand and design compliance across a broad property portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of design, program management, and operations, supporting approximately 700 active projects across 2,000+ North American properties. This is not a ground-up design role. Instead, the focus is on reviewing and guiding design work to ensure compliance with established brand standards. The Design Brand Manager will lead FF&E compliance efforts, manage Property Improvement Plans (PIPs), and prepare detailed narratives for executive and board-level reviews. These narratives will include property history, design rationale, and justification for waivers, offsets, or punitive actions. The role also includes oversight of FF&E submissions, design documentation, and photo packages, while providing guidance to hotel owners, designers, and internal stakeholders. Additionally, this is a hands-on "player-coach" role managing and developing a lean team of five resources (primarily designers). The manager will step in as needed to write, redline, or complete PIPs to support workload and onboarding. This position also owns the preparation and facilitation of board meetings related to exception processes and project updates. Travel is approximately 10% annually, typically no more than four regional trips per year, plus attendance at the company's annual convention in the fall.
