We are an intimate, small-scale facility offer boarding, daycare, grooming, and a curated retail shop for dogs and cats — all under one roof. The Role We're looking for a hands-on, people-first General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations across all three departments. This isn't just an operations role — it's a culture role. You'll set the tone for a workplace that's positive, professional, and genuinely fun to be part of. What You'll Do Lead & Develop Your Team Inspire, support, and grow a team of passionate pet care professionals Foster a positive, collaborative culture where staff feel valued and motivated Hire, onboard, train, and retain top talent across all departments Conduct regular check-ins and performance conversations focused on growth Handle team conflicts and staffing challenges with empathy and professionalism Run a Great Operation Oversee daily operations in boarding, daycare, grooming, and retail Oversee scheduling, workflow, and staffing to deliver seamless service Maintain safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and animal care excellence Serve as the point of escalation for client concerns — resolving them with care and professionalism Drive the Business Forward Monitor budgets, labor costs, and key performance metrics Oversee retail inventory, merchandising, and vendor relationships Work closely with ownership & leadership to track and manage budgets, labor costs, and key performance metrics What We're Looking For 2+ years of management or supervisory experience with a track record of leading people, not just managing tasks A genuine love of animals and a strong understanding of animal safety and behavior Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build trust with a team Experience managing multiple departments or service areas simultaneously Cool under pressure, organized, and ready to roll up your sleeves when needed Proficiency with basic business tools (scheduling software, email, POS/client management systems) Bonus points for: background in pet care, boarding, grooming, retail, or veterinary services; experience with pet management software (Gingr or similar) Compensation & Benefits Compensation is flexible and structured around the full package. Base salary ranges from $55,000-$70,000 depending on experience and benefits elected. Candidates may opt into health insurance and/or a 401(k), with salary adjusted accordingly. 10 days Paid time off (PTO) is included to start. PTO is negotiable as part of entire compensation package.
