Nestled in the heart of downtown Nashville since 1910, the hotel is Nashville's original million-dollar landmark and the storied backdrop of generations of gatherings. Our century plus evolution includes a respectful 2021-2022 restoration that refreshed our 122 suites while preserving arresting features like the marble lobby and stained-glass ceiling—alongside the debut of refined dining experiences shaped by Michelin-starred Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Summary The Director of Rooms is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational excellence across all Rooms Division departments, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and the Gift Shop . This role ensures seamless coordination and delivery of world-class service that embodies our brand promise and consistently exceeds guest expectations. As a senior leader, the Director of Rooms will champion a culture of personalized service, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality -- creating memorable moments for every guest. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic direction, leadership, and hands-on oversight of all Rooms Division functions. Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation in all guest areas. Lead by example in delivering exceptional, anticipatory service for high-profile and VIP guests, ensuring privacy, discretion, and flawless execution. Develop and implement guest experience programs that personalize and elevate each stay. Collaborate with the Executive Committee to drive operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and profitability. Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of department heads and team members, fostering a culture of empowerment, engagement, and continuous improvement. Establish and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance for the Rooms Division. Partner with Sales & Marketing, F&B, and Reservations leadership to support the hotel's overall guest experience strategy. Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and sustainability initiatives. Regularly review guest feedback and service metrics to identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement. Qualification Requirements Minimum 5-6 years of senior leadership experience in a luxury hospitality environment along with prior experience leading a housekeeping team in a luxury property. Proven track record in 5-star or ultra-luxury hotels/resorts, ideally with Michelin-recognized properties or equivalent accolades would be a significant plus. Deep understanding of luxury guest expectations and experience managing high-net-worth, VIP, and celebrity clientele. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a polished and sophisticated presence. Financial acumen with experience developing and managing multi-departmental budgets. Strong organizational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in property management systems (e.g., Opera) and guest experience software. Fluency in English; additional languages highly desirable. Authentic passion for hospitality and refined guest experiences. Poise and discretion when handling sensitive or high-profile guest situations. Visionary leader with a hands-on approach and a commitment to excellence.
