The Boot - Luling Sport1614 Lavaca St 78701 Austin, TexasAbout UsThe Boot is a downtown Austin private clubhouse and boutique 8-suite hotel that serves as the social hub for a members-only 36-hole golf club located in Luling, Texas. The Austin property functions as an extension of the club, offering member accommodations, events, and hospitality programming outside of the golf course property.
Overview:
This is a hybrid leadership role for someone who thrives both behind the bar and on the floor. You will serve as the bar lead and service standard-setter, while also acting as the on-shift property manager overseeing guest experience and daily operations.

You are equal parts host, operator, and bar presence ensuring both the lounge and suites run seamlessly.
Responsibilities:
Bar Leadership & Lounge ExperienceLead the bar environment and uphold elevated service standardsDemonstrate advanced knowledge of high end cocktails, liquors, and beverage serviceDevelop and add new cocktail offerings to the menuRotate the wine menu seasonally based on product availability and member feedbackSupport bartenders during peak periods (service, flow, guest interaction)Maintain ambiance (music, lighting, TVs) and overall vibe of the loungeAct as a visible, engaging presence for members and guestsGuest Experience & ConciergeWelcome arrivals, manage check-ins/outs, and personalize staysAnticipate guest needs with warmth, discretion, and attention to detailHandle VIP requests and create a seamless, elevated experienceOperations & Property ManagementOwn opening/closing procedures and daily execution of standardsConduct property walks, monitor safety/security, and maintain logsServe as the calm, capable decision-maker on shiftHousekeeping & PresentationLight housekeeping on days the housekeeper is offInspect suites and common areas to ensure luxury-level standardsCoordinate with housekeeping and stage rooms/amenitiesKeep all spaces guest-ready at all timesInventory, Events & SupportTrack inventory (bar + house supplies), receive deliveriesAssist with lounge events and guest staysJump in wherever needed, this is a hands-on roleSchedule & Compensation40 hours/week (weekends, nights, & holidays required)RequirementsTexas TABC Certification (or obtain within 14 days)Texas Food Handler Certification (or obtain within 14 days)Ability to lift 35 lbs and be on your feet most of shiftReliable transportation to downtown AustinBackground/reference check requiredU.S. work authorizationBar lead or supervisor experienceNice to HaveBoutique hotel / members club backgroundOpening experience (hotel, lounge, or hospitality concept)Familiarity with luxury housekeeping standards
