Job Description

The Courtyard/Residence Inn by Marriott in Austin Downtown is seeking an individual experienced in hotel front desk operations and guest services.
Required Qualifications:
At least 2 years of hotel front desk agent and/or night auditor experience. Prior leadership or supervisory experience. A passion for service with a positive, can-do attitude. A desire to develop and coach associates while creating an environment for your team to thrive. Ability to creatively problem-solve, execute strategies, and deliver results. Have excellent phone skills and be guest focused and proactive. Able to maintain an positive and professional demeanor at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with a specific brand hotel or upscale property. Marriott experience. FOSSE experience. Responsibilities The Front Desk Manager will carry out all daily shift operations of the Front Office department. Provide leadership, training, and shift flow management while coaching front desk agents and supervisors. Create proactive hiring plans and assist in hourly interviews. Provide the highest quality of service to guests and ensure associates do the same, serving as an ambassador of our establishment. Perform hands-on duties as needed and be responsible for tasks such as financials, payroll, scheduling, and more. Have the ability to manage day or night operations of the hotel. Conduct periodic walk-throughs, tour public areas and grounds to ensure the appearance of such areas reflect highly on the hotel, brand, and company. Act as manager on duty at times. Lead, develop, motivate and empower associates to deliver a high level of service, identifying opportunities and asking recommendations for improving quality of service and operating standards. Be accountable and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
