Job Description

The General Manager at our Courtyard by Marriott is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our property. The successful applicant wears a lot of hats—ultimately responsible for the success, reputation, and profitability of the entire property.
Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth daily functioning of departments: front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and more. Monitor service quality and guest experience. Resolve high-level guest complaints or incidents. Core responsabilities, GXP, GSS, Mobile Control Panel, BSA and more Inspect rooms regularly with both housekeeping and maintenance leaders. Process payroll, Invoices, direct billing, F&B tips and CC authorizations. Oversee budgets, forecasts, and profit & loss (P&L) statements. Manage expenses & optimize revenue (e.g. room rates, occupancy, ADR, RevPar). Work with accounting to ensure accurate billing and cash flow. Hire, train, and supervise department heads and key staff. Set performance expectations, conduct reviews, and resolve internal conflicts. Foster a positive and productive work culture. Set short- and long-term goals for growth and improvement. Analyze market trends, guest feedback, and competitor activity. Lead projects like renovations, room deep cleaning & Preventive Maintenance. Collaborate with the sales & marketing team on promotions, group and events. Build relationships with local businesses, travel agents, and tourism boards. Ensure the hotel meets all health, safety, labor, and licensing laws. Maintain security protocols and crisis response plans.
