Visit us at www.depalmahotels.com Position Summary We are seeking a driven, service-focused, and operationally strong Hotel Assistant General Manager to help lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel. This role works closely with the General Manager to support guest satisfaction, team leadership, brand standards, financial performance, and overall hotel execution. The Hotel Assistant General Manager plays an important leadership role by helping oversee front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and general hotel operations while supporting department accountability and service excellence. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams, solving problems, driving results, and creating a strong guest and associate experience. Responsibilities Support the General Manager in the day-to-day leadership and operation of the hotel Help oversee front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and overall property operations Drive guest satisfaction by maintaining high service standards and responding to guest concerns professionally and promptly Support recruiting, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance accountability for hotel associates Help ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, safety requirements, and operational procedures Monitor hotel appearance, cleanliness, maintenance, and service execution across all departments Assist with managing labor, productivity, expenses, and operational efficiency Review daily reports, occupancy, arrivals, departures, and service issues to support smooth hotel operations Work closely with department leaders to improve performance and maintain strong communication across the property Act as Manager on Duty as needed and provide leadership coverage across shifts, weekends, and holidays Support revenue, sales, and guest service initiatives that contribute to hotel performance Uphold DePalma Hotels & Resorts standards for professionalism, leadership, and accountability Qualifications Required Previous hotel leadership, hotel management, or hotel supervisory experience Strong understanding of hotel operations including guest service, housekeeping, front office, and general property execution Ability to lead teams, solve problems, and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Professional presence, dependable follow-through, and strong leadership skills Basic to intermediate computer skills and the ability to learn hotel systems and reporting tools Preferred Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, Front Office Manager, Executive Housekeeper, or similar hotel leadership role Experience in a full-service or Marriott-branded hotel environment Familiarity with hotel PMS systems, labor management, guest service recovery, and hotel financial reporting Food and beverage oversight experience Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus in the McAllen market Schedule Flexible schedule based on business needs Evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Job Type Full-time Pay $50,000
