Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager on Duty to join our team and assist in the day-to-day operations of our business. The Manager on Duty will be responsible for managing a team of employees, overseeing the budget and financial performance of the hotel, and developing and implementing strategies for growth and success. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and problem-solving skills and be able to adapt to changing business needs.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of employees, including setting performance expectations, providing training and development, and managing employee relations Manage reservations and check guests in and out using a computerized system Develop and implement strategies for growth and success, including identifying new opportunities and improving existing processes Monitor market trends and adapt to changing business needs Handle guest complaints and concerns with grace and professionalism Perform light cleaning duties, such as wiping down counters and restocking supplies Must be able to lead housekeeping department as needed, particularly in absence of Head Housekeeper Must have a valid driver license and able to support occasional hotel shuttle needs Communicate effectively with other team members and management Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt to changing business needs Excellent communication and customer service skills Flexibility to work day and evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed; rotational All applicants will be subject to a standard background check, which may include a criminal history review
