Alongside our sister property, Ballard Inn, we pride ourselves on hospitality excellence and creating memorable stays for every guest. We are seeking an organized, service-driven, and hands-on Front Office Manager to oversee front office operations and lead the guest experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a boutique hotel environment, enjoys operational leadership, and understands the importance of creating exceptional first and lasting impressions. Position Summary The Front Office Manager serves as the face of the hotel and is responsible for overseeing all front office operations while ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. This position is generally scheduled 40 hours per week , primarily working mid-shift and evening shifts , while maintaining flexibility to support AM, PM, and Night Audit operations as business needs require . This role works closely with hotel leadership and various departments to ensure seamless communication, organization, and operational success. Responsibilities include supporting group sales coordination , inventory management, team development, and maintaining front-of-house standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, service-oriented, and comfortable leading by example in a luxury boutique hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily front office operations for Hotel Ballard and Ballard Inn Deliver exceptional guest service and oversee the guest experience from check-in to departure Supervise, train, coach, and support Front Desk Agents and Night Audit staff Ensure front-of-house standards, organization, cleanliness, and luxury-level guest presentation are maintained Assist with operational organization, supplies, and inventory management Support and coordinate group sales and room block communication Handle guest concerns, escalations, and service recovery professionally Ensure accuracy in reservations, billing, arrivals, departures, and daily reporting Maintain strong communication between Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and leadership teams Assist with scheduling coverage and provide support for AM, PM, and Night Audit shifts as needed Participate in on-call support for operational needs when necessary Maintain a strong understanding of hotel systems, policies, and procedures Ensure front desk standards, guest recognition, and service expectations are consistently upheld Qualifications Hotel experience required ; front office leadership experience strongly preferred Previous experience as a Front Office Manager, Assistant Front Office Manager, Front Desk Supervisor, or equivalent hospitality leadership role preferred Boutique or luxury hospitality experience preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to remain calm, professional, and guest-focused in fast-paced environments Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities Experience with PMS systems preferred ( Cloudbeds experience a plus ) Must be dependable, flexible, and available to support operational needs including weekends, evenings, holidays, and occasional shift coverage Schedule Full-Time ( 40 Hours Weekly ) Primarily Mid-Shift / Evening Coverage Flexibility for AM, PM, and Night Audit support required Weekend and holiday availability required
