Job Description

Overview The Assistant General Manager plays a critical leadership role in daily hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong team performance, and consistent financial results. This position supports the General Manager in overseeing all departments, driving operational excellence, and maintaining a positive, service‑focused culture throughout the property. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and guest‑focused service across all departments. Support the General Manager in implementing brand standards, operational procedures, and company policies. Monitor property cleanliness, maintenance, and safety to uphold brand and ownership expectations. Assist with forecasting, budgeting, labor management, and cost‑control initiatives. Guest Experience & Service Quality Ensure all guests receive prompt, professional, and personalized service. Resolve guest concerns with urgency, empathy, and sound judgment. Review guest feedback and implement action plans to improve satisfaction scores. Team Management & Development Lead, train, coach, and motivate department supervisors and frontline associates. Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment. Sales & Revenue Support Assist in executing revenue strategies, upselling initiatives, and local sales efforts. Partner with the Director of Sales and GM to support group business, local partnerships, and community engagement. Monitor key performance metrics and contribute to revenue‑driven decision‑making. Administrative & Compliance Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Assist with inventory management, financial reporting, and operational documentation. Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as scheduled, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications Previous hotel supervisory or management experience required; AGM or department‑head experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Knowledge of hotel operations, front office systems, and brand standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Professional, positive, and guest‑focused demeanor. Physical & Cognitive Requirements Frequent standing, walking, and interaction with guests and staff. Regular use of computers, phones, and office equipment. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally. Strong reasoning, decision‑making, and organizational abilities.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
