Daly Hotel Management is currently recruiting for our Tru by Hilton in Beckley, WV. The Operations Manager will have responsibility for assisting the General Manager by providing cooperative leadership and managing processes to ensure the hotel meets and maintains all Company expectations in regard to Quality, Service, Profitability and Teamwork. This role will assist in promoting, developing and maintaining a work environment that provides an exceptional service experience for both team members and guests. This role will assist with operating the hotel within an approved annual operating budget while maintaining a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times with team members, customers and co-workers. Job Responsibilities Directly supervise the Front Desk Staff and operations
Mastery of Desk Clerk Responsibilities:
Handling guest concerns and maintaining reservations Training new personnel and auditors Monitor Desk Clerk performance providing feedback and coaching Fulfilling Desk Clerk responsibilities during scheduled breaks or lack of coverage Conduct Staff meetings and Superstar training Complete group bookings and events Assist General Manager and Sales Manager with Sales Compute timecards daily, reconcile housekeeping reports, and complete Daily Payroll Report Compute bi-weekly time and complete Payroll Report for manager's review before submitting to Payroll Complete Daily Control Reports, review audit, count money, and make deposits in General Manager's absence Run Direct Bill statements and mail on a weekly basis entering payments as received Interview and recommend candidates for hire Support other departments as needed Inspect guest rooms monthly for General Manager's inspection Co-Lead start of shift and staff meetings Serve as a member of the hotel security team Report any potential hazards Investigate alleged injuries that occur on premise Complete incident/accident reports as required Have knowledge of gas, electric, water and circuit breaker cut off locations Serve professionally as a Liaison for the organization at community functions Maintain room inventories Complete all required company and brand training Understand and enforce all company policies and procedures Perform any other duties as assigned by General Manager Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management preferred but not required Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time that may exceed 8 hours Ability to lift up to 25 pounds intermittently throughout the course of a normal work day Ability to travel 5% for training or company events Skills & Attributes•Desired Experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in hospitality and/or customer service preferred but not required Excellent dependability and punctuality a must Positive attitude with the ability to build high performing teams Daly Hotel Management is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to creating a powerfully diverse workforce and a broadly inclusive workplace, where everyone can contribute to their fullest potential each day.
