Housekeeping Supervisor Courtyard by Marriott - Huntsville, Alabama Position Summary The Courtyard by Marriott Huntsville is seeking an experienced, energetic, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and outstanding guest experiences. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with proven people management skills, a passion for coaching and developing team members, and an uncompromising commitment to quality standards. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring every guest room and public area consistently reflects Marriott's high standards while fostering a positive, accountable, and service-focused work environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry Attendants. Conduct daily room inspections to ensure guest rooms meet Marriott brand standards and hotel quality expectations. Provide ongoing training and performance coaching to improve productivity, quality, and guest satisfaction. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and respect throughout the housekeeping department. Assist with scheduling, daily work assignments, and staffing to meet occupancy demands. Monitor room status and coordinate closely with the Front Desk and Maintenance departments to ensure efficient room availability. Ensure all public areas, corridors, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas remain clean, organized, and well maintained. Identify maintenance concerns during inspections and promptly communicate them for resolution. Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment while promoting cost-conscious operations. Enforce all safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and OSHA standards. Respond professionally to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns promptly and courteously. Lead by example through active participation in daily housekeeping operations when needed. Qualifications Previous supervisory or management experience leading housekeeping teams in a hotel environment is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success managing, coaching, and developing employees while maintaining high performance standards. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Outstanding attention to critical detail with the ability to consistently identify cleanliness deficiencies before guests do. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire teamwork while holding employees accountable for performance expectations. Working knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, safety practices, and quality standards. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 35 pounds, and remain active throughout the shift.
