Position Summary The Housekeeping Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all guest rooms meet Hyatt brand standards and deliver a consistent, high-quality arrival experience. This position is responsible for inspecting guest rooms with a focus on departures and arrivals, coaching Room Attendants on quality expectations, and supporting overall cleanliness performance. Given the high volume and short length of stay at our property, this role is essential in maintaining consistency, identifying opportunities for improvement, and reinforcing accountability within the housekeeping team. Key Responsibilities Inspect cleaned guest rooms to ensure adherence to Hyatt cleanliness and brand standards, with a primary focus on arrival and departure rooms Prioritize inspection of VIP rooms and early arrivals to ensure readiness for guest check-in Accurately update room status in the system and communicate room readiness to the Front Office Partner with Room Attendants to provide real-time feedback and coaching on cleanliness standards Identify trends in room deficiencies and communicate opportunities for improvement to leadership Support the implementation and monitoring of inspection programs and quality initiatives (e.g., self-inspection programs, audits) Assist in maintaining consistent inspection coverage based on daily volume and occupancy Ensure proper stocking of linen closets, carts, and supply areas on assigned floors Report maintenance issues and discrepancies promptly through appropriate systems (e.g., HotSOS) Assist with special projects, deep cleaning initiatives, and operational support as needed Step in to assist with room cleaning during high-demand periods when necessary Performance Expectations Complete a targeted number of room inspections per shift (based on occupancy and business needs) Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all inspections Contribute to improving overall cleanliness scores (e.g., Medallia, internal audits) Support a culture of accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement Why This Role Matters This role is key to ensuring that every guest walks into a clean, well-prepared room. By increasing inspection coverage and reinforcing quality standards, the Housekeeping Inspector directly supports guest satisfaction, cleanliness scores, and overall hotel performance. The hourly rate for this position is $23.14 per hour. Qualifications Qualifications Previous housekeeping experience required (minimum 1 year preferred) Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold high cleanliness standards Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel systems (HotSOS, Opera, etc.) preferred Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25-50 lbs Ability to push/pull carts and equipment as needed Comfortable working on guest room floors for extended periods
