Job Description

Job Overview Forest Ridge Rehab is seeking an experienced and dependable Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents. In this role, you will oversee daily room cleaning and laundry operations, ensuring our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone who takes pride in a well-kept environment and genuinely cares about the comfort and dignity of rehabilitation residents. Duties Supervise and support housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations Oversee daily cleaning and sanitation of resident rooms, common areas, and facility spaces in accordance with long-term care and rehabilitation standards Manage all laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and timely delivery of resident personal clothing and facility linens Conduct regular room and facility inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met Ensure proper use and safe storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages Coordinate with nursing and care staff to accommodate room turnovers, isolation protocols, and special cleaning needs Report and follow up on any maintenance or sanitation concerns promptly Requirements Prior experience supervising a housekeeping or custodial team, preferably in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting Knowledge of infection control practices and healthcare cleaning standards Familiarity with laundry operations, including handling of soiled linens and resident clothing Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to motivate and lead a small team with professionalism and compassion Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced care environment
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
