Housekeeping Supervisor Whitney Center, Inc. - 3.3 Hamden, CT Job Details 9 hours ago Qualifications Staff supervision Team supervision House cleaning assistance Housekeeping assistance High school diploma or GED Healthcare facilities housekeeping Full Job Description This is an 8am-4pm Monday - Friday Exempt Position with occasional weekend support as business needs dictate. Whitney Center is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily housekeeping operations across our Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Health Center, and administrative areas. This leadership role ensures a clean, safe, welcoming environment while providing hands-on supervision, coaching, and support to the housekeeping team. The ideal candidate is an organized, customer-focused leader who is committed to quality, regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and exceptional service for residents, families, and staff. Supervise, coach, train, and develop housekeeping staff, Lead Housekeepers, and Building Technicians. Coordinate daily work assignments, staffing, and scheduling to meet operational needs. Conduct quality inspections to ensure resident rooms, apartments, common areas, and public spaces meet Whitney Center's high standards. Oversee move-in, transfer, discharge, and deep-cleaning projects. Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols and applicable OSHA, CDC, CMS, and Connecticut Department of Public Health regulations. Monitor inventory, equipment, and housekeeping supplies while supporting budget goals. Respond promptly to resident concerns and promote outstanding customer service. Maintain inspection records, employee documentation, schedules, and departmental reports. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Education High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Hospitality Management, Environmental Services, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field preferred. Experience Five (5) years of progressive housekeeping experience required. Five (5) years of supervisory or leadership experience required.
Condition of Employment:
Candidate must successfully complete Pre-Employment Medical Clearance consisting of a Physical, PPD, Drug Test and a Background Check
