Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the housekeeping department, ensuring that our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. You will lead a team of housekeepers, manage daily operations, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise, train, and mentor housekeeping staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
Quality Control:
Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure adherence to cleanliness and quality standards, promptly addressing any deficiencies.
Scheduling:
Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for daily operations and special events.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of household items, cleaning supplies, and linens, placing orders as necessary
Training:
Conduct training sessions for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff on cleaning techniques, safety practices, and hotel standards.
Guest Interaction:
Address guest inquiries and concerns regarding special requests and housekeeping services, ensuring prompt and courteous responses.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards, implementing best practices to maintain a safe work environment.
Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including staffing, inventory, and maintenance requests.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to coordinate services and enhance guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality management is a plus. Previous experience in housekeeping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and safety protocols. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to speak English and Spanish is advantageous.
