Job Description
Newport News, Virginia Overview Works under the supervision of the Manager/ Ops Mgr/ Director of Environmental Services. For the employees under the direction of this Supervisor, he/she schedules their work, evaluates, their performance and resolves employee complaints. Additionally, this Supervisor is responsible for the quality of work, the productivity of the department, the moral of the department, the working relationship with the medical staff, and employee adherence to facility and departmental policies, procedures and guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. What you will do Participates in 3 or more community service events per year within or outside of the center. Assists in maintaining a safe patient care environment by consistently complying with RHS, DNV, State and regulatory standards to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff. Conducts inspections in area of responsibility daily ensuring quality/infection control measures are met consistently with appropriate documentation forwarded to department Manager. Demonstrates and ensure team understands and responds effectively to suggestions and concerns from patients/visitors, personnel, medical staff and leadership. Demonstrates the ability to organize the work of self and direct reports. Overtime hours as a percentage of total paid hours for areas managed by this Supervisor will be 2% or less. Works with employees assigned, to ensure that all employees demonstrate an acceptable level of competence which will result in a high level of quality work performance. Qualifications Education High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience 3-5 years Supervisory experience in Housekeeping (Preferred)
