Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title:
Housekeeping Floor Supervisor Reports to:
Director of Rooms Purpose:
To maintain quality of guestrooms and bathrooms with detailed inspections and support to staff. To assist with inventories and training of room attendants.
Job Functions:
Inspect all stairways for cleanliness and pool areas. Check windows, outside doors and walkways for cleanliness. Inspect hallways, guestrooms and service areas for cleanliness and maintenance in assigned workstation. Report damage with request and/or work order to PBX operator Ensure that your staff is in proper uniform with correct footwear and name badge. Assist your staff when necessary and be able to relieve them, when needed. Check vacant rooms for occupancy discrepancy and immediately report any found. Check room attendant carts to make sure that they are adequately supplied and neat. Maintain linen closets to ensure they are neat and well supplied. Ensure room attendant closets are in order; keep an up-to-date inventory of supplies. Assist in linen and supply inventory, as required. Instruct housemen to obtain supplies that may be needed from storage. Assign special duties to housemen, as required. Observe and report all soiled carpets, drapes, furniture and other special cleaning concerns/or needs to the Director of Housekeeping. Work with room attendants in the cleaning of V.I.P. rooms. Maintain records on special projects such as shampooing, washing terraces, etc. Report missing items from guest rooms or public areas to Housekeeping. Report any problem areas immediately. Ensure all equipment and machinery are in working order. Report any deficiencies to PBX operator . Ensure all shower curtains are changed and/or cleaned on a regular basis. Recheck any inconsistency that may have occurred during your shift. Perform various other duties as assigned in a professional and timely manner. Report any associate disciplinary issues to the Director of Housekeeping. Maintain safe work practices in training and/or as items come up. Assign rooms to room attendants based on occupancy.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand/walk for 8 hour shifts Able to walk up and down stairs frequently Able to pull/push up to 70 lbs. Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
