Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic hospitality team as an Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor, where your leadership and attention to detail will elevate the cleanliness and comfort of our guest environments. In this energetic role, you will support the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily operations, supervising cleaning staff, and ensuring that our standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction are consistently met. Your proactive approach and management skills will help create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and team members alike. Responsibilities Will perform inspections 2 days per week and assist with rooms/laundry 3-4 days per week Assist in supervising housekeeping staff to ensure efficient cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Support scheduling, training, and mentoring team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. Conduct regular inspections to verify that cleaning procedures meet company standards and health regulations. Oversee laundry operations, including linen management and ensuring timely service delivery. Coordinate with other departments to address guest requests promptly and resolve any housekeeping-related issues. Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens, placing orders as needed. Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Skills Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hospitality or hotel setting. Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience managing cleaning teams or housekeeping staff. Strong management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, laundry processes, and hotel housekeeping standards. Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and interact with guests and team members. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with hospitality industry practices and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
