Housekeeping Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY

Oversees Housekeepers and Inspectors across Guest Rooms, Turndown, Public Areas, and Laundry. This role directs day-to-day Housekeeping and Laundry operations, enforcing quality standards and cost controls while delivering Hotel Wailea's distinctive luxury experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Assign and inspect housekeeper duties to prescribed cleanliness standards Coordinate daily with Front Office and other departments Investigate and resolve guest complaints; implement service recovery as needed Support staff training, coaching, counseling, and SOP enforcement Coordinate with vendors: pest control, laundry services, and outsourced providers Oversee all housekeeping guest communications professionally Schedule and oversee cleaning of all public areas and preventative suite maintenance Manage inventory of supplies, amenities, and linens to maintain par stock levels Monitor and assist in controlling departmental labor and supply expenses Assist with weekly scheduling and recruitment of qualified candidates Recognize team members who exceed guest expectations through empowerment Attend department head meetings; contribute recommendations to improve operations.

WORK EXPERIENCE

(MINIMUM

REQUIRED

) Minimum 2 years Hotel experience in a supervisory capacity, with some working experience interacting with the Housekeeping department. Luxury or boutique hotel experience preferred

SPECIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED TO PERFORM JOB

Fluent in English; additional languages a plus Strong attention to detail and eye for quality Demonstrated leadership and team management skills Knowledge of housekeeping products, equipment, and sanitation standards Hotel PMS / housekeeping software proficiency preferred

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
