Full Job Description Position Title:
Night Public Area Supervisor Reports to:
Assistant Director of Housekeeping Position Summary:
Supervise, train and inspect the performance of assigned Public Area Attendants ensuring that all procedures are completed to the Club's standards while maintaining his/ her cleaning duties of assigned areas.
Essential Functions:
Consistently offers professional, friendly and engaging service Perform Public Area Attendant's assigned job functions daily as described in Public Area Attendant job description. Supervise a team of up to ten Public Area Attendants, ensuring that all public areas and other functional areas are kept clean at all times Oversee the daily cleaning of all public areas, including performing section inspections, and monitoring daily checklists Check supply levels in storage closets. Complete requisition for additional supplies needed and submit to manager. Check Public Area closets for proper supplies, neatness, and cleanliness. Instruct designated personnel to correct deficiencies. Consistently inspect public areas/bathrooms, restaurants, offices and service areas after being cleaned by Public Area Attendants, using designated checklists. Directly contact respective personnel and relay any deficiencies to be corrected. Conduct training of staff as needed to ensure optimum cleanliness and service standards for members. Provide feedback on staff performance to manager. Report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in the counseling of employees. Work with the Assistant Director of Housekeeping to ensure that weekly, monthly and yearly projects are tracked and completed on schedule Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards Report necessary maintenance items Follow all safety and sanitation policies Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Experience:
Prior Housekeeping experience is a plus.
Additional Skills:
Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and problemsolving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision Thorough understanding of luxury housekeeping operations Physical Aspects of Position (include but not limited to): Frequent standing and walking throughout shift Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs. Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Frequent ascending or descending stairs Occasional ascending or descending ladders. Frequent use of floor machinery
