Job Description
Overview Home2 Suites Greendale is seeking an experienced and detail‑driven Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and help establish the standards for a brand‑new hotel. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for ensuring exceptional cleanliness, team training, and a welcoming environment for every guest who walks through our doors. Responsibilities Lead, train, and motivate the housekeeping team to deliver consistent, high‑quality room and public area cleanliness Establish and maintain cleaning procedures, room inspection standards, and brand compliance (Hilton CleanStay) Create daily room assignments, manage productivity, and ensure timely room turns Conduct regular room and public area inspections to maintain brand standards Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls for linens, supplies, and chemicals Partner with the General Manager to hire, schedule, and develop team members Support a positive, team‑focused culture built on accountability and guest satisfaction Ensure safety, sanitation, and OSHA compliance throughout the department Assist with deep cleaning projects and hands‑on housekeeping tasks as needed Qualifications Previous housekeeping leadership experience required (hotel experience strongly preferred) Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, productivity expectations, and inspection procedures Excellent communication and team‑building skills Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive, professional environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Experience with Hilton brands or extended‑stay hotels is a plus
