Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and comfort across our hospitality environment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of cleanliness, and motivate your team to maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold safety protocols, and foster a positive work environment that emphasizes quality service and teamwork. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations. Monitor the quality of work performed, conducting inspections of guest rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, and custodial spaces to ensure compliance with company standards. Manage scheduling, assign tasks, and oversee workload distribution to optimize team productivity. Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and janitorial equipment; place orders as needed to prevent shortages. Enforce safety policies related to cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and workplace conduct to promote a safe working environment. Address guest requests or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience and resolving issues efficiently. Qualifications Proven supervising or management experience in housekeeping or custodial services within hospitality or hotel settings. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, commercial cleaning practices, laundry operations, and janitorial procedures. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and foster collaboration. Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or related software is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations related to chemical handling and equipment operation. Previous hospitality or hotel experience is highly desirable for understanding industry standards.
