Room Inspector West Ocean City, MD 21842 $17.00 - $17.50 an hour - Full-time $17.00 - $17.50 an hour - Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Room Inspector to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure that guest rooms and public spaces meet our high standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. Your keen eye for detail and leadership skills will help maintain exceptional guest experiences by overseeing cleaning operations, supervising staff, and managing quality control. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a welcoming environment where guest satisfaction is paramount. Hilton experience but not required. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, suites, and public areas to verify cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards are met. Supervise housekeeping staff and janitorial teams to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to company policies. Manage cleaning schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to uphold high-quality service delivery. Oversee laundry operations, ensuring linens and towels are properly cleaned, stored, and replenished. Identify areas for improvement in cleaning procedures and implement best practices for custodial services. Maintain detailed records of inspections, cleaning logs, and maintenance reports for accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with management to address guest concerns related to room cleanliness or safety promptly. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping management with a strong understanding of hospitality standards. Supervising experience in a hospitality or commercial cleaning environment with demonstrated leadership abilities. Knowledge of janitorial procedures, laundry operations, and general facility maintenance. Strong management skills to coordinate teams effectively and ensure timely completion of tasks. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify issues quickly during inspections. Effective communication skills for training staff and liaising with management. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
