Job Summary The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for leading the hotel's housekeeping department and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for every guest. This position oversees all housekeeping operations, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and developing team members while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and brand compliance. The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing departmental labor, expenses, inventory, productivity, quality assurance, and guest satisfaction while fostering a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Essential Job Functions This description summarizes the primary responsibilities and qualifications of the position. It is not intended to include all duties that may be required. Because hotels operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, schedules may vary based on business needs. Interview, hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop housekeeping associates while promoting InnTrusteds' culture and service standards. Lead, motivate, and hold the housekeeping team accountable for performance expectations. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, and hotel grounds to ensure exceptional cleanliness, presentation, maintenance, and safety standards. Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service recovery opportunities. Develop staffing schedules based on occupancy forecasts while effectively managing labor costs. Assign daily responsibilities to maximize department efficiency and productivity. Maintain housekeeping inventories and ensure timely ordering of linens, guest supplies, cleaning chemicals, and equipment. Complete payroll, inventory reports, inspections, purchasing, and other departmental documentation accurately and on time. Monitor guest satisfaction scores and cleanliness metrics while implementing action plans for continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with hotel policies regarding lost and found, key control, guest room security, and risk management. Manage departmental expenses within approved budgets while identifying opportunities for cost savings. Ensure compliance with all brand standards and InnTrusted Hotels operating procedures. Partner with the Front Office and Maintenance teams to ensure guestrooms are available, well-maintained, and guest-ready. Promote sustainability initiatives and environmentally responsible housekeeping practices. Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, MSDS requirements, safety procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Foster a culture focused on teamwork, engagement, accountability, and exceptional guest service. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper , Assistant Executive Housekeeper, or Housekeeping Manager in a hotel environment preferred. Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of labor management, budgeting, inventory control, and housekeeping operations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Demonstrated commitment to exceptional guest service. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. Physical Requirements Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require. Weekends are a requirement during peak season. Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, push, pull, and use hands for extended periods. Occasionally required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or stoop. Must regularly lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. Must possess close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to thoroughly inspect guestrooms and public spaces.
