Description Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping team, ensuring all areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This role sets out team priorities, coordinates work assignments, and collaborates with other departments to support operational needs. The Supervisor ensures adherence to established policies, procedures, and cleanliness standards while providing direction, support, and accountability to team members. Working under the guidance of management, this position focuses primarily on leading and coordinating the team, with limited hands-on involvement in cleaning tasks. Key Responsibilities Performs a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing Ensures all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards Assist with ordering meals and setting up luncheon for guests, customers, employees Able to assist team members in their housekeeping duties as needed Collaborate with the facilities supervisor to ensure that maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team across assigned areas of the facility Assign tasks, set priorities, and adjust workloads to ensure timely completion of cleaning and sanitation duties Ensure all work is performed in accordance with housekeeping policies, safety standards, and cleanliness expectations Conduct routine inspections of facility areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization Partner with Facilities, EHS, Production, and other departments to support operational and safety needs Coordinate training, coaching, and the development of team members on proper cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety practices Monitor team performance and provide feedback, including addressing attendance, conduct, and performance concerns Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; coordinate reordering as needed Works with outside vendors to obtain appropriate consumables Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning tools and equipment Support continuous improvement efforts related to the housekeeping team, workplace cleanliness, organization, and efficiency Respond to urgent cleaning or facility-related needs in a timely and effective manner On occasion, overtime and weekend requirements Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities support (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred) Previous supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safety practices Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to lead, motivate, and hold team members accountable Effective communication and collaboration skills Microsoft office experience Physical demands and abilities Able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds Able to stand for entire shift Regularly performs repetitive tasks Regularly possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.All Employees Shall:
