High School Diploma, or equivalent General Overview The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, safety, and exceptional guest satisfaction throughout the property. This position supervises housekeeping staff, inspects guest rooms and public areas, maintains quality standards, and supports efficient department operations. The Housekeeping Supervisor works closely with other departments to ensure a positive guest experience and compliance with company policies and brand standards. Tasks Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations. Assign daily work schedules and room assignments to housekeeping staff. Inspect guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and laundry areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met. Train, coach, and support housekeeping team members. Monitor staff productivity and performance. Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment. Maintain inventory of linens, towels, guest supplies, and cleaning products. Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns. Coordinate with Front Desk and Maintenance departments regarding room status and maintenance issues. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, sanitation standards, and company policies. Assist with scheduling, payroll review, and attendance tracking. Support hiring and onboarding of housekeeping staff when needed. Prepare reports related to room inspections, staffing, and supply usage. Handle lost and found procedures according to company policy. Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments. Technology Skills Basic computer and data entry skills. Knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS). Ability to use housekeeping management software and mobile inspection tools. Familiarity with email communication and scheduling software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel. Ability to operate office equipment such as printers, copiers, and tablets.
