Essential Duties and Responsibilities Staff Supervision Supervise Room Attendants, Housepersons, Laundry Attendants, and Public Area Attendants. Assign daily work schedules and room assignments. Monitor employee productivity and performance. Provide coaching, training, and ongoing support to team members. Conduct shift briefings and communicate daily priorities. Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained throughout the shift. Room Inspections Inspect guest rooms, suites, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met. Verify that all guest rooms are properly cleaned, stocked, and ready for occupancy. Ensure housekeeping carts are clean, organized, and properly stocked. Identify maintenance issues and report them promptly through the appropriate channels. Follow up on deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed. Operational Responsibilities Coordinate room status updates with the Front Desk. Monitor room turnaround times and prioritize arrivals, departures, and VIP rooms. Ensure compliance with hotel brand standards and company policies. Manage lost and found procedures according to hotel guidelines. Assist with inventory control of linens, amenities, cleaning supplies, and equipment. Monitor departmental expenses and minimize waste. Guest Service Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns. Ensure guest satisfaction through attention to detail and service recovery efforts. Follow up on guest complaints related to cleanliness and housekeeping services. Assist guests when needed to maintain high service standards. Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and hotel safety procedures. Train staff on proper use of chemicals and cleaning equipment. Conduct regular safety inspections. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Ensure all staff follow proper security procedures when entering guest rooms. Administrative Duties Complete daily inspection reports and housekeeping logs. Track employee attendance and productivity. Document coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions as necessary. Assist with payroll review and scheduling. Participate in department meetings and training programs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel management systems. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach frequently. Ability to inspect rooms thoroughly and efficiently. Performance Expectations Maintain guest room cleanliness scores at or above brand standards. Ensure productivity goals are achieved. Maintain high guest satisfaction scores related to housekeeping. Ensure timely completion of room inspections and daily assignments. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
