The EVS Manager is responsible for the daily management and oversight of Environmental to ensure all health and safety compliance standards are met. This position administers efficient and cost-effective programs that ensure all areas of the university are clean and maintained. The manager is responsible for timekeeping/payroll, recruitment, employee relations, regulatory compliance, and performance evaluations for their direct reports. This position also analyzes data and adjusts procedures to meet departmental goals and serves as a liaison between the department and university administration. This position is responsible for employee scheduling, assigning duties, inspecting work, investigating service complaints, and recommending corrective action.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Licensing:
􀁸 Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED. 􀁸 Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience is preferred. 􀁸 Strong working knowledge of custodial/environmental services operations is required. 􀁸 Must have five (5) years of supervisory experience, preferably within a large institutional environment. 􀁸 Courses in personnel management, budgeting, cleaning principles, and public relations are preferred. o Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning skills. o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. o Ability to use computers and software related to facilities management and quality assurance.
