Job Description

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Assists the Environmental Services Manager by ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of quality services to our all customers. Provides a key role in the planning, organizing, and directing of all functions within the scope of the Environmental Services Department. Assumes the duties of the Environmental Services Department Manager in his/her absence.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Environmental Services provides a professional, clean, safe, and sanitary environment for Samaritan Health Services in support of the health care mission. Services including cleaning and floor/carpet care, repairs, loans of tables/chairs and equipment, custodial services, linen distribution and waste removal.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Business preferred. Three (3) years experience in a directly applicable supervisory position or three (3) years as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper in a fully accredited hospital required. Certification by the International Executive Housekeepers Association preferred. Experience and/or training in computer applications required. Experience and/or training in housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and other equipment required.
