About the opportunity The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the housekeeping department, overseeing the daily cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. What you'll get to do
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure all areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and report any maintenance issues
- Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, ordering replacements as needed
- Train and develop new housekeeping staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any issues promptly Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays, and to be on call to respond to emergencies
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel management systems
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and protocols
