Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Housekeeping Manager, where your leadership and expertise will elevate the cleanliness and comfort of our guest environments. In this energetic role, you will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. Your proactive management skills will inspire your team to deliver exceptional service while maintaining efficient workflows across all housekeeping functions. Responsibilities Lead and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure consistent delivery of cleaning, laundry, and custodial services across all areas. Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and quality standards to uphold cleanliness and hygiene. Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and hospitality best practices. Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with company standards. Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, optimizing usage and minimizing waste. Coordinate with other departments to address special requests or maintenance issues promptly. Foster a positive team environment through leadership, motivation, and clear communication. Requirements Proven supervisory experience in housekeeping or custodial roles within a hotel or hospitality setting. Strong background in cleaning techniques, commercial cleaning practices, laundry operations, and janitorial services. Demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence. Experience in hotel housekeeping management or similar hospitality roles is highly preferred. Ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Full job description Supervises the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department and assist as needed during high occupancy Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the hotel, including guest rooms, common areas and offices Maintain and update all guest collateral placed in the rooms Respond to requests in an expedient, professional manner Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and handles guests concerns as necessary Examines rooms, halls, lobby, bathrooms, and/or housekeeping storage areas to determine need for repairs, replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management Train, counsel and discipline team members, as needed Seek continual improvement for the department and hotel Comply with all policies, procedures and regulations that relate to the local, state and federal laws Advises front desk agent of rooms readiness for occupancy Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to hotel requirement. Must be completely flexible with scheduling and be open to varied schedules every week based on hotel occupancies Follow uniform guideline Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management Lead by example at all times and stay visible to staff Foster an environment where team members know they are valued, ensuring they are treated fairly and with respect Assist in building a culture of open communication, spend time with team members and be available for them (open door policy) Continuously strive to improve and maintain client and guest experiences Be a leader in managing the overall reputation management of the hotel Personify the best values of the brand, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and service delivery for all employees on property Effectively manage wages and controllable expenses Focus on maximizing the financial performance of the department Monitor performance against budgets and goals Has a strong working knowledge of and passion for hospitality. Computer knowledge for data input and process date with accuracy. Strong leadership skills and is able to build a cohesive team to achieve the highest quality of customer service. Displays a strong hands-on approach. Thinks critically and objectively. Guest service oriented. Strong knowledge of cleaning products. Must be able to stand or walk a minimum of eight hours. Requires mobility and prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs. Minimum one years of experience working guest in a hotel setting. Flexible schedule - must be available to work a variety of shifts and weekends. Ability to carry up to 50lbs.
Pay:
$19.00 - $24.00 per hour
