These roles ensure clinical-grade cleanliness across patient care and administrative spaces while supporting a healthy and positive experience for staff, patients, and visitors. Custodian II serves as an advanced-level role, demonstrating greater independence, technical knowledge, and the ability to support and mentor team members. Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout offices, clinics, conference rooms, restrooms, and public areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect, and remove trash and recycling throughout assigned locations Ensure entryways, sidewalks, and common spaces remain clean, safe, and welcoming Monitor public areas and respond to ongoing cleaning and sanitation needs throughout the day Safely use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment according to established procedures Maintain custodial supplies and ensure storage areas are organized and stocked Support multiple work sites as needed throughout the workday Provide courteous customer service and assistance to staff, patients, and visitors
Additional Custodian II Responsibilities:
Work independently with limited supervision Demonstrate advanced knowledge of cleaning techniques and products Perform high-level sanitization and disinfection duties Provide guidance and mentorship to Custodian I team members
Qualifications Custodian I:
High school diploma or GED required
Custodian II:
High school diploma or GED required One year of custodial training or equivalent experience preferred
Both Roles:
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Reliable, professional, and customer-service oriented Basic computer skills preferred Work Schedule KANA's standard work schedule is 37.5 working hours per week, consisting of 7.5 paid working hours per day plus a one-hour unpaid lunch break (8.5 hours on site per day).
