We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable janitors with an FFA badge (or who can qualify with a clear background check) to join our team at the Birmingham Airport, located on Tower Road, in Birmingham, AL.

Job Description :

As an FFA badged janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of secured areas within the airport. This includes terminals, restrooms, office spaces, and other high-traffic areas. The ideal candidate will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for travelers and staff while adhering to airport security protocols.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal in secured and non-secured areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are fully stocked with supplies. Maintain cleanliness in passenger waiting areas, lounges, and offices. Adhere to all FFA and airport security regulations while working in secured zones. Respond to urgent cleaning requests and spill cleanup promptly. Operate cleaning equipment such as buffers and floor scrubbers (a plus, but not required). Replenish janitorial supplies as needed and report any maintenance issues. Work cooperatively with other airport staff and security personnel. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications:

Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and equipment. Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to communicate effectively in English (additional languages are a plus).
