Janitor / Campground Maintenance Attendant - Clear Creek Recreation Area - William B. Bankhead National Forest Operated by BA Services, Inc.
Seasonal Full-Time Position Schedule:
Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM About Us BA Services, Inc. proudly operates the Clear Creek Recreation Area within the William B. Bankhead National Forest in northwest Alabama. Clear Creek is a popular destination for campers, families, swimmers, anglers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts seeking a clean, safe, and enjoyable recreation experience. We are currently seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Janitor / Campground Maintenance Attendant . This position plays a critical role in maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and overall guest experience throughout the campground and day-use facilities. Position Summary The Janitor / Campground Maintenance Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of campground facilities, restrooms, day-use areas, beach areas, and campsites. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently while providing courteous and professional interactions with campground guests. The successful candidate will help ensure that visitors enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during their stay at Clear Creek Recreation Area. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCampground and Facility Cleaning Clean and sanitize restroom facilities throughout the recreation area. Clean toilets, sinks, mirrors, partitions, floors, and fixtures. Restock restroom supplies including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap. Sweep, mop, and maintain floors in all public-use facilities. Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, and other high-touch areas. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners throughout the campground and day-use areas. Collect and properly dispose of litter and debris from public areas. Campsite Maintenance Clean campsites between guest stays and as needed throughout the season. Remove litter and debris from campsites. Clean fire rings and grills. Perform string trimming around campsites, signs, and common-use areas. Assist with maintaining the overall appearance of campground grounds. Report damaged facilities, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to management. Day-Use Area and Beach Monitoring Patrol and monitor the day-use area to ensure cleanliness and guest safety. Police the beach area by collecting trash and removing debris. Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors. Report violations, hazards, or unusual activity to management. Equipment and Supply Management Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing. Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment. Maintain assigned equipment in a clean and serviceable condition. Follow all safety procedures related to cleaning products and equipment operation. Guest Service Provide friendly and professional assistance to campground guests. Respond courteously to guest questions regarding campground facilities. Notify management of guest concerns or complaints. Help create a positive recreation experience through excellent customer service and attention to detail. Additional Duties Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned. Support campground operations during busy weekends and holidays. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications, Preferred Experience Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, campground, park maintenance, or facility maintenance experience is preferred. Experience working in public recreation areas, campgrounds, parks, or hospitality settings is a plus. Knowledge and Abilities Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and sanitation practices. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to interact professionally with guests and coworkers. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to work outdoors during summer temperatures and varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate equipment associated with campground maintenance activities. What We Provide Company-provided golf cart for transportation throughout the campground.
