Custodian 240 Days

QUALIFICATIONS

: High school graduate Good physical and emotional health. Valid Alabama driver's license Positive background check

REPORTS TO

: School Principal

JOB GOAL

: Performs necessary task to maintain a clean, safe, healthy learning/working

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

: Sweep/vacuum floors; sweep/vacuum mats located in entrances; clean tile located in hallways and restrooms Sweep, mop, and disinfect restroom floors; disinfect sinks, commodes, urinals in hallways, gym locker rooms and office area Strips, waxes and buffs floors Dust window seals in hallways and classrooms, tops of door facings tops of lockers in hallways, televisions and lights units located over blackboards Clean windows in hallways, classrooms, office area and classroom doors; cleans classrooms including desk tops and top of air conditioning , locker rooms, restrooms and any other rooms Empty garbage cans in classrooms and hallways and outside garbage containers Performs minor maintenance repairs as needed Maintains campus landscaping Clean water fountains located in hallways and gym locker rooms Clean markings located on walls Change filters in air conditioning units Replace light bulbs and check that all outside lights are burning Performs other related duties as assigned

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

: Regular school term of 240 days or for the remainder of the school year if hired after the first day of school. Salary range as determined by degree and number of years experience.

EVALUATION

: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board regarding the evaluation of support personnel.
