Nighttime Janitorial Supervisor Arkansas Department of Transportation - 3.6 Little Rock, AR Job Details $53,508 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Computer literacy Safety regulations High school diploma or GED Driver's License Supervising experience Data entry Cleaning Crew management Full Job Description Posting closes on 5/26/2026 Under general supervision, this position supervises the nighttime janitorial staff to ensure the assigned work is completed in an orderly and timely manner. Examples of Work The following examples are intended only as illustrations of various types of work performed. No attempt is made to be exhaustive. Related, similar, or other logical duties are performed as assigned. The Department may require employees to perform functions beyond those contained in job descriptions. The Department may modify job descriptions based on Department needs. The Arkansas Department of Transportation is an "at will" employer. Supervise, schedule and direct crew functions as related to cleaning Department facilities. Assist in coordination, supervision and checking work of the janitorial staff. Ensure that all equipment and tools used for cleaning are maintained and kept in working condition. Order cleaning supplies as needed for use by janitorial staff. Assist the Facilities Management Engineer with various administrative duties including recording employee activity transactions in the Workforce Management System. Assist with basic facilities maintenance and repair. Minimum Requirements The educational equivalent to a diploma from an accredited high school. Knowledge of building maintenance and cleaning procedures and practices, as well as applicable safety regulations and precautions. Ability to interpret and apply the policies and procedures contained in the Department's Personnel Manual. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities. Basic working knowledge of computer software operations including internet browser navigation, data entry and email. Knowledge or experience in basic heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing repair preferred. Valid driver's license. Availability to work evening shift 3:30PM - 12:00AM. Availability to work weekends and/or holidays occasionally as needed. ("Accredited" means the educational institution or program is accredited by an accrediting organization recognized either by the United States Department of Education or by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.) A criminal background check will be required to determine suitability of employment, and failure to meet these standards may cause the applicant to be rejected or terminated from that position. This position does not require theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge or a bachelor's degree or higher in the field; thus, this position is not eligible for H-1B visa sponsorship.
