SUMMARY:

Works under the supervision of a Skilled Maintenance person to maintain the buildings and grounds of the school.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in performing needed maintenance and repairs on school buildings. Assist in the maintenance of school grounds and playground equipment. Assist in the service and repair of cafeteria equipment. Assist in the setting up for food service and in the delivery of food service items between schools. Assist in the maintenance of heating, cooling, and temperature control systems. Carry out oral and written instructions. Assist in the removal of trash, rubbish and other waste from school premises. Assist in the setting up of equipment for school activities. Maintain a safe working environment by following approved guidelines. Demonstrate satisfactory work habits and attitudes. Follow district policies and procedures as adopted by the Governing Board. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or Principal.

QUALIFICATONS

1. High School graduate Ability to push, pull or lift weight in excess of 50 pounds. Dependability

SCOPE AND SALARY

260 day position as an at-will hourly employee based on the support staff salary schedule, with holidays, vacation, and benefits according to district policy.

EVALUATION

To be conducted by the designated Principal with the assistance of a Skilled Maintenance person.
