Full Job Description TITLE:
Lead Custodian
JOB DESCRIPTION
Supervise the custodial crew engaged in the cleaning operations at assigned District sites.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED Two (2) years of custodial experience State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and assign work activities of custodial staff. Provide direction to custodians in the performance of cleaning tasks. Maintain time sheets and attendance records. May assist with hiring. Conduct performance evaluations. Train staff on custodial services and techniques; participate in all custodial positions and functions as needed. Responsible for security of district buildings and properties; serve as on-call for security or fire alarms. Maintain inventory of custodial supplies. Maintain all equipment to ensure proper working condition. Maintain communication with school administrator, facilities management and site custodians. Attend meetings as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
: Knowledge of cleaning standards and techniques Knowledge of equipment and material usage and maintenance Knowledge of hazards and precautionary measures specific to custodial operations Knowledge of computer applications to perform functions of position Skill in supervising the work activities of assigned staff Skill in both verbal and written communication Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
WORKING CONDITIONS
: Hazardous chemicals and dangerous machinery Exposure to extreme weather conditions
PHYSICAL EFFORT
