Janitorial Worker

The janitorial worker is a team-oriented self-starter highly skilled in vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and applying finishes on different floor materials and stairs. They contribute to the success of the company by maintaining the facility's outward professional appearance and keeping the units clean and suitable for rent.

COMPENSATION

$17.50 per hour, plus benefits.

REQUIREMENTS

General maintenance and repair skills. Physical Demands -- Requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Responsibilities and Duties Include -- General maintenance and repair duties. Must be willing to sweep, mop, dust, and pull trash on and around the facility. Produce quality work within pre-set time frames. Restock supplies in bathrooms and common areas. Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary. Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition. Able to operate janitorial equipment properly and safely. Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals. Always wear proper Personal Protective Equipment. Identify and report possible repairs. Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces. Clean windows and glass partitions. Clean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectants. Shows initiative regarding job functions and accepts new responsibilities as needed.
