Full Job Description Non-Exempt Job Summary:
The Service Lot Attendant is responsible for organizing and managing the vehicles in the service lot, assisting customers, and supporting the service department's daily operations. This role ensures that vehicles are properly parked, serviced, and ready for customer pickup, contributing to an efficient workflow and a positive customer experience.
Essential Functions:
Drive, park and retrieve customer vehicles in the service lot efficiently and safely. Ensure vehicles are parked in designated areas and organized according to dealership policies. Monitor vehicle movement and assist in moving vehicles as needed for service or storage. Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner when they drop off or pick up their vehicles. Provide basic information about the status of vehicles and estimated completion times. Assist customers with locating their vehicles or providing shuttle service as needed. Assist service technicians by moving vehicles to and from service bays. Ensure that service paperwork and keys are properly managed and returned to the appropriate locations. Keep the service lot clean and organized, including removing trash and debris. Monitor the lot for any signs of security issues or damage to vehicles. Report any suspicious activities or damage to vehicles to the service manager. Follow all safety protocols when moving vehicles and using equipment. Update vehicle status records and assist in maintaining accurate service logs. Support the service department with various administrative tasks as needed. Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of service tools and equipment. Work closely with service advisors, technicians, and other staff to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with team members and provide assistance as required. Maintain satisfactory attendance. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
At least one year of verifiable driving experience. Valid driver's license and safe driving record; required to have California driver's license within 30 days following date of hire. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in an automotive dealership, body shop, or similar environment. Experience driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Strong attention to detail and commitment to vehicle cleanliness and presentation. Familiarity with vehicle check-in/check-out procedures and documentation. Ability to safely operate and maneuver vehicles in tight or high-traffic areas. Basic knowledge of automotive terminology and vehicle features. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently. Basic computer skills or familiarity with inventory systems.
Physical Demands:
Frequently stands, walks, sits; uses hands; frequently reaches with hands and arms; frequently talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, squats or crawls; occasionally lifts up to 30 pounds. Physical ability to drive a vehicle for prolonged periods of time.
Environment/Noise:
Noise level is moderate. May encounter many odors in the work area some of which may be hazardous. Exposure to hazardous conditions and equipment that may result in minor injuries; frequent exposure to contaminants such as antifreeze and chemical degreasers. May encounter variety of weather conditions working outside. May occasionally walk on slippery surfaces. Work is performed in a parking lot environment, which may include exposure to varying weather conditions.
