The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive individual who takes pride in their work and has a strong commitment to quality service. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces. Maintain restrooms by cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies as needed. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Handle commercial cleaning duties in offices, hallways, and common areas. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Engage in residential painting projects when necessary to enhance facility aesthetics. Provide porter services by assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment as needed. Uphold janitorial best practices to ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus. Experience in commercial or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous. Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices will be beneficial. A background in porter services or general maintenance is desirable.
