A successful candidate will be expected to carry out the responsibilities noted below while providing a cheerful and organized atmosphere for all who enter or contact the Church, meeting the needs of staff, guests, volunteers, and congregants with care and discretion. Responsibilities A maintenance staff person reports to the maintenance supervisor. If the position is vacant, the maintenance staff member will report to the Business Administrator. Adherence to Employee Handbook, Policies, and Standards Signing in daily with Supervisors for instructions Not leaving campus at the end of the workday without Supervisor's knowledge Taking allocated lunch and break times Not on personal phones or taking personal calls unless the supervisor is aware Wearing and maintaining only approved attire while working Adhering to safety standards when performing work Periodically check with staff to see if they are in need of something. Communicate findings to supervisor for approval Ensuring rooms set-ups are to specifications before events and meetings Sweeping floor, Vacuuming, and Shampooing carpets/Spot Cleaning walls when dirt is noted Dusting and Mopping floors Emptying Waste receptacles/Replace liners as often as necessary when people are on campus Ensuring restrooms remain clean (includes cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces, and stocking of supplies) when the campus is open, and restrooms are ready for use before services, mid-week gatherings, and other events on campus Maintaining Janitorial spaces in neat and orderly way Ensuring Water receptacles are monitored, and cups are available for use Sweeping and power washing sidewalk surfaces; Ensuring that sails remain clean Ensuring plants are not overrunning the campus and encroaching upon walkways/parking lot Checking daily the campus and street and sidewalk around campus for debris and garbage Ensure front steps remain clean when on duty Windows, ledges, and blinds are cleaned and dust/dirt free Keep watchful and remove spider webs /cobwebs Ensure all doors and entries to the campus remain securely closed to protect unwanted intrusion Reporting any leaking pipes (gas, water), any defective or inoperable building equipment immediately to
