This position will be responsible for performing cleaning and sanitizing procedures on cooler warehouse equipment and farm equipment (tractors, trailers, buses, harvest machines). This position will also disassemble, clean and sanitize equipment, walls, floors, lights, garbage cans, and drains throughout the cooler warehouse. Essential Responsibilities Cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment and facilities Dismantles and reassembles production equipment for cleaning Uses chemicals according to company guidelines and safe practices Adhere to all the Good Manufacturing Practices. Follow all the policies and procedures surrounding the Food Safety Management System policies and procedures. Responsible for mixing chemical solutions to proper concentrations following the sanitation procedures and ensuring that the proper titrations of chemical solutions used. Responsible for washing, sanitizing, and storing all utensils used for mixing chemicals Ensure that the chemical room is left clean and organized at the end of the shift. Required to operate machinery such as boom lift, pressure washer, and other equipment per SOP. Other duties as assigned. A full job description will be available during the interview.
Work Environment:
Monday - Saturday work schedule, with rotating day off. 1 Sunday scheduled per month Ability to bend, climb and lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to adapt to wet, cold indoor (cooler) conditions (34-40 degrees) Outside work environment is cold, muddy, windy, hail, foggy, or rainy in winter. On ranches, the employee will occasionally experience exposure to airborne agents like dusts, spores, pollens, insects, smells etc. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities and ranches. Knowledge and Skills Ability to use various types of cleaning equipment such as brooms, mops, floor scrubbers, buckets, scrub pads and air compressor hoses Ability to read procedures and safety information in English (required) Ability to write in English to document sanitation duties completed (required) Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs safely Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel Must be able to walk throughout the facility Must be able to scrub and wipe by hand miscellaneous equipment and items
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
1 year experience in produce warehouse/farm sanitation procedures Understanding of and compliance with safety practices such as Lock-out/Tag-out, wearing of PPE, and GHS Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Food safety and safety programs and practices Forklift, Pallet Jack, Boom Lift experience Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, and fractions. English/Spanish bilingual/bi-literate preferred Valid Driver's license Must be able to work under tight deadlines in an agricultural or manufacturing environment This is a full time position.
