Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure safety and cleanliness. Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly to prevent the spread of germs and maintain health standards. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure continuous availability. Conduct routine inspections of the facility's cleanliness and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Assist with light custodial tasks related to facilities maintenance, including minor repairs or painting as needed. Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to ensure a hazard-free environment for children and staff. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or educational settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning techniques such as floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or residential painting is advantageous. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning in environments with young children. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to established procedures.
