The Day Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for employees and visitors alike. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility, including common areas, restrooms, and break rooms. Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing floors. Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep. Handle residential painting projects when required to enhance the appearance of the facility. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Provide support for special events or activities within the facility. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained. Experience Previous experience in commercial cleaning, custodial services, or industrial cleaning is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is advantageous. Experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions effectively. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
