Janitor - Full Time Western Slope Healthcare Center Starting at $18.00/hour Western Slope Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitor Aide to join our team. This position plays an important role in providing a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents by supporting laundry and housekeeping operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain an adequate supply of clean linens for resident care and comfort Inspect linens and remove damaged or stained items from service Collect resident laundry daily or as needed Label new residents' clothing items as needed Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms Follow all sanitary and infection control procedures related to laundry and housekeeping duties Maintain inventory of laundry supplies Operate laundry equipment and supplies safely and efficiently Report equipment problems or maintenance needs to the Administrator Assist in maintaining a clean and organized laundry/work area Perform additional housekeeping or janitorial duties as assigned Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred Previous laundry, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred but not required Skills & Abilities Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures Basic math skills Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed Reliable, organized, and able to work independently Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the facility Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Frequent use of industrial washers, dryers, and housekeeping/laundry equipment Work Environment Indoor healthcare environment Noise level is typically low to moderate Additional Information This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
