Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that our spaces remain pristine and well-maintained. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility. Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to ensure a professional appearance. Clean restrooms thoroughly, restock supplies, and ensure sanitation standards are met consistently. Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of carpets, windows, and high-touch surfaces using appropriate equipment. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or reporting issues promptly to the maintenance team. Support custodial operations during special events or after-hours cleaning projects as needed. Follow safety protocols and use proper cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly at all times. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of facilities maintenance practices is preferred; additional skills in residential painting or industrial cleaning are a plus.
