Overview We are seeking a dedicated Temporary Janitor to join our team in Richmond. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with cleaning and custodial experience to contribute to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and facility upkeep. The position involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks across commercial and industrial settings, ensuring that our clients' spaces remain pristine and well-maintained. Duties Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal in designated areas. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and other floor care procedures to ensure a professional appearance. Conduct detailed cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas following established protocols. Handle custodial tasks such as replenishing supplies and ensuring all surfaces are sanitized effectively. Assist with light maintenance tasks related to facilities upkeep, including minor repairs or reporting issues promptly. Follow safety guidelines and environmentally friendly cleaning practices at all times. Support team efforts during special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning initiatives as needed. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial environments is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning techniques such as floor buffing, stripping, and sealing is advantageous. Experience with general facilities maintenance or porter duties will be considered a plus. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
